Rebel Yell colour question...
« on: February 01, 2014, 09:10:45 PM »
So the EMG's will have to go, and a set of Rebel Yells gites in instead. Question is what looks best. I'm going here and there, once i think i made up my mind doubts come sneaking.

All White with gold screws?
Black/White zebra  with gold screws?
Gold covers?

This is the guitar in question:

Don't think white would go with the Classic LP Custom. Gold is the obvious choice, next would be black bobbins. I never liked zebra in these guitar, but that's just me.

Although battleworn black or gold would be a bit rebellious 8)

Every guitar I own have black pickups, so id like something else this time. But Black is surely classic and fit in everywhere.
Why I'm looking at White is because of the White binding. But I'm not sure, white can look a bit cheap in some guitars.
I love creme bobbins for guitars with maple necks, but... Maybe I should fire up Photoshop and test different options.

By the way littleredguitars, how do you like the rebels in your LP? Bright? Buttery? Bitey? Handle higain well?

Go to the "players" section and watch my pickup comparison video. It shows all of my bk pickups.  They definitely sound great

I would pick either black/gold screws or gold covers.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.

I would go gold covers on this guitar, even though I hate gold hardware in general (it tarnishes very easily)

COBRA-T
WAR PIGS
STOCKHOLM
COLD SWEATS
MIRACLE MAN

Gold for looks tho Black Chrome would be my pick. Id say the Black Chrome would be safer cause the chances of the Gold matching your current gold hardware might not be close. I think the gold would wear faster if thats a concern.
