Pics of the RR1 USA battleworn pups and Charvel Slimer w/ Warpig
« on: February 05, 2014, 01:15:45 AM »
I finally got both of my guitars setup with BK's so here are a few pics.

Jackson RR1 USA Lightning w/ ceramic Miracle Man (b) and a Cold sweat (n). I'm very happy with the tone. Arthurus had recommended to me in a previous thread that a set of Battleworn BK's might look great with this guitar and I think he was right. I love the look. What do you guys think?

Charvel So-Cal Slime Green USA w/ ceramic Warpig (b). I left the DiMarzio in the neck since I hardly use the neck pup on this guitar.

Battleworn was a great choice actually.

What does the C Warpig sound like in the Charvel? The Pig is on my mind :x
BKP: Abraxas - Les Paul
Holy Diver - Charvel
Mule - Les Paul
Rebel Yell - Les Paul
VHII - PRS CU22

Thanks man!  :D

It's like an Alder crunch overload and it isn't a popular choice in the Charvel because it is boomy and you'll have to roll back the treble and bass a little bit (depending on your amp) to get things under control. I stopped using an Overdrive with the Charvel once the Warpig was in since it easily can be harsh. I have to remind myself when playing to let the pickup do the work and not be so aggressive on the strings. It's just a wild pup. To me "C-Pig" means crazy pig instead of ceramic warpig.

It's a lot of fun to have in the Charvel though. I love it.
