Which one single coil pickup will be match the Juggernaut??
« on: February 21, 2014, 07:17:28 AM »
Hey guys

my guitar is Caparison CL13 Angelus.
Mahogany body and neck / maple fingerboard.
but it's S/H pickups style.
I want to load the Juggernaut in the bridge, but I had no idea which one single coil can be better ?

I need some suggestion.
Thanks

Atsui

I like S/H style - gives you the powerful bridge humbucker and a clear neck tone, and get that d... middle pickup out of the way ;) I am actually in the process of converting a strat to S/H with the Black Dog at the bridge and a Slowhand bridge at the neck. Should come out great.

The Juggernaut is a new design so there is not yet a specified HSS suggestion from BKP. You could take a guidance from what they combine with the Holydiver, the Nailbomb or the Miracle Man - that puts Irish Tour and Trilogy Suite into focus. From the clips I heard the Irish Tour is an overwound single coil and sounds as such, whereas the Trilogy is hotter, warmer and more modern sounding. Since the Jug is also a modern design I believe the Trilogy would be a good match.

Cheers Stephan

I'd strongly recommend enquiring with the BKP team about this, because you want to avoid to run into volume balance problems. With single coils, this can be a real bummer.
Current BKPs: Miracle Man, Nailbomb, Juggernaut, VHII
Past BKPS: Holy Diver, Trilogy Suite, Sinner, Black Dog

The Crawler-bridge and IT-neck in my strat match quite well. I don't know how much balls the Juggernaut has, but I can imagine it's bolder than the Crawler. I think you need TS or Sinner for a good volumebalance. They are closer in character to the Juggernaut too. Like Alex suggest, it's good to contact BKP. Maybe they come up with some tricks if you want a vintage(hot) singlecoil.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.
