Sounds like Telerocker and DarrenW know their shiteee :)

They certainly do. So does Tim.

Never tried a Crawler in a Tele but given the usual bright nature of Teles and the fact that the Crawler bridge loves bright guitars it can only be great. The Abraxas is also a great pickup and a bit less picky about the guitar it's in.

Cheers Stephan

Let be clear that I have just a tiny bit of Tims knowledge when it comes to BKP's. He knows his products best!

With that being said, on my ES-333 I went with your suggestion instead of Tim's and it was spot-on.

Absolutly. I can't imagine changing anything on it, it really suits that guitar.

As for the topic, I too have an alder tele with a bridge humbucker, and I am torn between some bkps but pending to the Holydiver.

Still, I will probably change my mind 20X until I have the money to order :)

I was just asking bec the new stuff always sounds fantastic in the honeymoonweeks. After sometimes we get our feet on the ground. It's good to hear this will be a keeper. I like the engraving too.

About the tele: compared to the Crawler the HD has a little less bass, the emphasis is more on the center- and uppermids. It does an excellent hairmetal job and cleans up fine too.

My new Crawler bridge shipped yesterday!  It will take longer to go through customs here in the States than it took to make, so excellent response time, BKP - can't wait to get this pup installed!  I'll post pics and sound files when I can.

When you install it, fiddle with the height to find the sweet spot. Scatterwound pickups are sensitive for the right height.
