I'm watching that pink one that Dakine posted the link to. Says reserve not met though so I guess I wont be able to get it for a good price  :(

Hey sambo. You could look into the Ibanez RGT42. It's a thru neck super strat with mahogany body and maple neck with dark rosewood fretboard. They're very nice guitars and have really good sustain. They don't cost that much either

Go for Ibanez's finest line of guitars - the S Series ¬¬ for all the superstrat goodness yu'd ever want.
Also - Didn't fender used to do a superstrat line of their own, fitted with a OFR?

Yeah they did, it was called the HM strat, meaning Heavey Metal strat. They're pretty good guitars and you can usually find them on ebay for like £375 - £400ish

Funnily enough, I've just been down the Superstrat route to add to my collection.  I bought a beat up Ibanez RG670DXBK at my local guitar emporium for £325:

Plus I've just picked this up off evilBay for £350:

I'd look for an RG550 or above if I were you - superb guitars for not much cash.  This has got an hour to go and looks good for £200!

i think yu should have a look at these mods by Ed roman. seems like a good idea!

EDIT: ask for it without the seymour duncan black backs. They suck - Neo-Dimium magnets destroy any hint of tone.

hahaha your just like tom you hate baritones....

theyre not just for down-tuned nu-metal you know.... i actually like the cleans from a baritone loooooads.... really throaty deep sound.... theyre wicked.

but should i save for my hearts desire (which may not actually be that amazing) or go for one of the many suggested options on here?

i'd go for a mexican strat and pimp the sex out of it dude. It'll be loads of fun and help yu get to know guitars better.
Either that or the almighty ibanez s-series...

how much do yu have to spend? they come in just about every price range - with little upgrades as you go up the range. However - they ALL have a mahogany body, and they ALL have the ZR tremolo
