Hi,
First of all - I'm very impressed with the sound clips on the site. All the pickups sound fantastic and I've never read a bad review about them!
Now my question: I have a mid eighties Fender Strat (ash body I think), 1 HB, 2 singles. The pickups are mounted on the scratch plate. I've found that the HB sounds 'thin' when I compare it to a friends BC RIch with a Seymore Duncan Trembucker. Music wise I'm into Ozzy, Black Sabbath and ,of course, Van Halen. I'm looking for a pickup that will give the guitar a fuller sound and stronger tone on the leads, oh and, more sustain (I lose some as the pickups aren't mounted on the body). While I love Zakk Wyldes playing I'm not after the all out sound that he gets (so that takes Miracle Mans out of the list!) - to my ears he sounds a little clipped on the leads.
My initial thoughts are either VHII or Warpigs.........
Any suggestions, recommendations greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
PS I'm playing through a Line 6 - crunch setting.
