Order arrival
« on: July 05, 2014, 08:25:46 PM »
I received my BKP "Trilogy Suites" in the mail today.  I open the package and saw that the Irish Tour is checked on the bottom in the list of models and the hand written resistance rating is also that of what the website states is for Irish Suites..  I hope the package and writing is incorrect and hope that the product is what I actually ordered.  Waiting for a response from BKP.

That sounds weird. Wonder what is the matter there since I have never heard of such a case. Did you order just normal Trilogies or something special?

I ordered them with a few options.  Got the zinc plated base plates on the bridge & neck, rwrp, calibrated, flat profile, white.  They fit the physical description of what I ordered but the packaging and paperwork don't.. If they tell me it's just a packaging error and the pickups should be what I ordered then I will install them right away! I don't want to go through the time and effort and $ to install them if they are incorrect.  The check marks on the box are by hand not machine, and the ohms rating is also written by hand.  :undecided:

Those are options, but not what would fall under custom stuff. Like when you order something from the P90 range in humbucker housing which is not officially listed as possible and you gotta order it as a MQ.

The check marks are always by hand, both the check and the resistance reading.

Might just be an error, things that can happen when actual humans do the work. Good thing is that any issue gets cleaned up by good people as well, so I would wait for a BKP answer and then see what is the matter. If something went wrong I am positive that they will fix it asap. If I ever had an issue with anything I wish it to be with BKP, cause then I would not really have to worry. =)

So wait and rest easy. Worst thing is additional wait time which, while harsh, could be a lot worse in other places. And even that is forgotten when the things are fitted...trust me.

Did you get an invoice?
If so what is written on that
If it's Irish Tours then you have the wrong item

No, the invoice states what I ordered.

I don't doubt at all that BK will take good care of me.  The waiting game is what sucks the most.  I live in the US.  It took 3 weeks to get these pickups approximately from date of purchase.  I am patient though.  I'm sure the irish tours sound amazing but I am not looking for that kind of vintage tone.

They got back to me quickly and confirmed they are Trilogy Suites.  The coils are a reddish copper, where as the Irish Tours are brown.  Problem solved!  Now to install them!!!!
