DiMarzio PAF7 swap for Bare Knuckles
« on: July 25, 2014, 07:31:08 PM »
So I just bought a new Ibanez RG752. I'm planning of swapping it's DiMarzio PAF7s for a pair of Bare Knuckles (Cold Sweat for the Neck and still unsure about the bridge). It's also my first time getting BKs.

Are these pickups a direct swap?
Will I need to modifiy the guitar or will they fit in the PAF's cavity?

Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

There's no direct swap really. BKP's have thier own trademark sounds going on.
There are close tho and I have heard of a few different humbuckers described as a paf swap.
The only one I can offer can opinion on is the Vhii neck, its ace in an rg550. I got some sound demos in my link below  (not great ones but honest ones)
