surely you didn't miss the opportunity to take some groovy high altitude shots of a couple of your pedals!?

Holy cr@p that's awesome- I'm not much into cars (though badass sportscars like those are cool), but the scenery there is amazing. Really nicely-taken pics too.

Great trip report!

That Cayman isn't a bad travel companion.

I love driving in the alps, it's just so beaufitul. There's no place on earth like it.

Driving wise I think the passes and hairpins are highly overrated. Sure it's fun, but I think it's got more to do about the setting than the actual driving. Still, I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to go again!

I'd agree with that. I put the passes in two categories; scenic and sweeping. The sweeping ones are really enjoyable to drive, the scenic ones are really enjoyable to take in. Some belting scenery. Staggeringly pretty and awe inspiring area. The pictures really don't do justice to the scale of the place.
