Having been inspired by a Facebook discussion, if you could only play 1 guitar for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I think it would be a PRS DGT but every day there'd come a point where I'd wish I'd picked a Strat. The DGT is a great, great guitar that covers so much of the tonal spectrum that I find comfortable and it's a dream to play. But then again, what about the Strat...?

So probably:

But maybe:

I think I would have to make a custom for that cause I currently donīt own such a thing. It would probably end up being a 24 fret 7 string Fender Scale Les Paul with wraparound bridge, build in Super Hard On Booster (on miniswitch), Korina body with Walnut cap, Maple neck and Rosewood board, fitted with an Emerald set, piezo system, 2 vol, 2 tone, jimmy page wiring and a varitone, with the controlls aranged like on a Lucille.

Talk about a luthiers nightmare.^^

I think you can deduct from that that I currently have a good amount of very different guitars...
BKPs in use: 10th set / RY set / Holy Diver b, Emerald n / Crawler bridge, Slowhand mid MQ neck/ Manhattan n
On the sidelines: Stockholm b / Suppermassive n, Mule n, AM set, IT mid

It would of course be a Gibson Les Paul Junior or Special, but I'm not sure which one.

Probably a singlecut Junior, to keep things as simple as possible.

I think it would be a Gibson Flying V but every day there'd come a point where I'd wish I'd picked a Strat.

you wouldn't use the meat knife on crusty bread but, equally, the serrated knife and straight edge knife aren't going to go through raw meat as quickly

Superstrat of some description. If it's the only guitar I'm allowed I reckon I'd be speccing it up myself for fancy wiring options etc.

ESP Eclipse I vintage black. Not necessarily with active EMGs but with some passive pups with coil split on neck position. Love that guitar, shame that it`s so expensive (for me anyway )

Emotionally it would be my old Strat but for sheer enjoyment it would be a Tele.

Les Paul. I don't need strat sounds and with the right pickups and pedals/amp they can be really versatile.
