TC Electronics Ditto Looper

Anyone have or tried one ?

I went out and bought one of these on impulse last week. So far I've only used it through my practice amp (Microcube) and there are a couple of issues. It's hard to balance the volume of the repeats against the 'live' playing - either one seems to smother the other. Also, in order to end a loop and start another you end up hearing the last couple of seconds of the previously recorded loop which would make it impossible to change loops within a song at a gig. Anyone have the same experience ?

Having said that, it's great fun for messing around with. Once the loops are recorded they seem to work well with each other and they are unlimited. I'm going to get my other practice amp back and use one amp for the loops and the other for noodling over the top.

i've got one and have the same thoughts about it. but its quite small and cute and i do like it.

you've probably seen you can double click to end the loop. short click and then a hold click. but you do still get a bit of the loop playing.

Our drummer has one, and I borrowed his for a while. Excellent for practice and writing and I love the simplicity! I've also tried the bosses but didn't really like the feel of a boss switch for looping. Ended up with a Jam man stereo after some research. The four footswitches are just what I need and the loop can be cleared without having it start. That, combined with individual pots for loop and instrument volume makes it a breeze to use.

I got a Ditto and really like it. It's great for home use when you're messing around and trying out ideas for new songs. It might be hard to use in a live situation because of the simple layout. If you're experienced in using a looper it might not be a problem, but if you make a mistake it's gonna be hard to recover without anyone noticing.

It's cute & fun. Good sound quality. But it's not really usable as a real looper (cfr others posts ..).I don't use it much anymore.Too bad...
