NGD: 2 for the trade of 1
« on: August 11, 2014, 05:47:56 PM »
Hey guys.

I've had a USA Strat for a while now that I used a lot when I was in my originals band up until 4 years ago but haven't used much since, so when I saw these upfor trade I offered my Strat up and a deal was struck:

They're both MIA Peavey Wolfgang Specials, unsure of age etc and both are in decent condition with the usual playing scuffs etc.

They both need a good clean up and re-stringing, 10s on the white 1 in Standard tuning for my Punk/Rock band and 11s on the black 1 in Eb tuning for my 80s/90s Rock but otherwise I'm very happy with them.

The guy I got them off was under the impression from the guy he got them from that the black 1 had some sort of Peavey 'Custom shop' pickups in as apparently Wolfgang pickups only come in Zebra. How true that is I don't know, but if I don't like it plugged into my main rig I have a set of purple Dimarzio Evos I think might work in their place :D

That antique white (?) one looks great! Sounds like a great deal.
I think I hate being indecisive.

2 for 1 sounds a good deal, whatever you're swapping!

I like the Wolfgang Specials better than the fancier Wolfgangs (I've not actually tried one, but I never thought they looked as nice as EVH's old Music Man signature).

It would've been good if one was a hardtail.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Cheers guys!

It would've been nice if 1 of them had been hardtail Philly; not a deal breaker though!

Love the white one. Were it me, I'd be putting some VHIIs in and playing "Beautiful Girls" until my fingers fell off.

Cheers guys.

I prefer the white 1 atm but its setup slightly stiffer, which I prefer.

That looks like a sweet deal.

Nah, 5 left! 1 of which has VH2s so they're not going in here.

Cheers guys.

Using them at 2 practices and a gig this week so I'll see how I feel after that.

How remiss of me not to compliment you on the duvet cover too.

These aren't my pics, they're what the last owner provided me with before we sorted a deal
