Nice job, but I have to admit that was quite surprised. Normally, VHII wouldn`t be first choice for Metallica stuff especially in lower tuning.
But also have to say that like VHII better, hands down. Especially that verse part with palm muted E sounds great.

Thanks man! Yeah I kinda just went for it... both the guitars have setup in C standard (because of my band) so didn't want to change it.

I really like that 'growl' on low E, sounds great. More interesting and 'rich' than other pickups, which are quite dull.

As Im recently really interested in VHII neck, can you record some neck as well, especially on heavy distortion/lead stuff please?

How do you like VHII neck?

Here's a quick clip I did today. All lead parts are recorded with the neck pickup. It's no shred though... I'm not all that good with lead/solo stuff.

I think the neck pickup could be a little warmer but I still like it a lot.
