So now these PU are in play:

Aftermath (think it will be to dry and honestly for me)
Juggernaut
Painkliller
Holy Diver

What is the bit different between these and will someof them fit the Jackson KV2 better than other?

From experience, I hate the HD. Too weak and flubby. Painkiller=meh and way too ice picky to the ear drums. Juggernaut-amazing but not as clear as the AM. AM, rule in lower tunings. The clarity is off the charts.
If you decide to go with the AM and stop being afraid to become a better player technically, you will love them even more. When touched right, they come to life...ha thats what she said

PS: They are only dry in certain set-ups. You can easily fix it with Eq'ing the amp. Remember tone is subjective and most of the tone comes from your amp, speakers and believe it or not, your picks material!

It's not that hard to becomes a better player, practice rhythms with a metronome and start slowly, paying attention to the quality of the sound you are getting.

I put in a vote for Juggerset.  I LOVE these pickups, they're tight, responsive, percussive, great for rhythm, great for leads, amazing for cleans.  They're great for a versatile guitarist who does many things but they don't 'drop' the ball on any one task either.

RE:  'Hollow mids'
They have a certain tonality to them which I describe as 'modern' which is audible in all the clips I have heard.  They are not scooped but they do have a certain 'hollow' sound to them when distorted.  But, the super thick and aggressive distortion they produce is only possible with an abundance of midrange.  It's the pickup voicing that the user  trysth is reacting to.  Of course, some of that is due to amp, recording technique, and playing style.  My experience has been that the tone 'in the room' is quite different but recorded, I get a somewhat similar result to what others have gotten.

Miracle man in the bridge and a cold sweat in the neck. They match great. I do want to try the juggs in it though..but the MM sounds so good in it already so i doubt ill switch.
