new project ideas. looking for feedback

so i'm sort of going piece by piece on my neck guitar. i picked up an awesome natural ash strat body for real cheap and was trying to figure out what BKP i would try in it. coincidentally i managed to get another great deal on a used miracle man bridge pickup which i'm going to try and make work in this guitar. i know that a lot of the talk is that it wont be the best fit but i think i can maybe make it work. so i'm thinking about what sort of neck to use. from what i gather, i'd be sort of on the bright side of the spectrum with everything mentioned so far so should i go for something like a mahogany fretboard? maybe even a different neck wood all together? i was planning on special ordering something from warmoth. i was originally thinking ebony fretboard but i assume itll be too bright? anyway i'd love some feedback.

I pressume you made a typing mistake, mahogany is not used for fretboard, it`s quite soft and wouldn`t hold frets steady plus worn from strings.

mahogany neck/ebony fingerboard makes more sense, but more common and more usable combination in that case would be maple neck with rosewood board. Swamp Ash is similar to Alder so body is quite balanced anyway. Maple neck with rosewood board that`s the go. If you don`t like rosewood you can try goncalo alves, wenge or zicorte boards instead.

plus look, swamp ash is beautiful figured while mahogany is more boring looking, wouldn`t match

The other thing to consider is weight. Swamp Ash is fairly light wood while mahogany heavy. With what combination there`s a risk that guitar won`t be balanced.

Maple/rosewood is the best option especially when you are aiming to achieve brighter tone.

As far as I remember as someone here said, MM works extremely well in that type of configuration (maple bolt-on neck).
I`m just only repeating something what I`ve read some time ago.

That depends on the natural timbre of the timbers. Some (swamp)ash guitars are quite middy, but still have this percussive attack. An ebony fretboard will enhance that. The Miracle Man seems to have a scooped midrange because of the strong bass en clear topend. Could work, but maybe something like the Diver is a safer bet.
Anyway, I like swampash because it's light and not giving me a painful shoulder after gigging for 3-4 hours. In my swampash strat with maple neck and ebony board the Crawler works great. It's like having a Les Paul under your fingertips and splitted it becomes a biting tele. I can see a Diver, Juggernaut and maybe the Miracle Man working in this guitar. I would just be careful cause the huge bass and pronounced treble of the MM could lead to a disbalance all over the board. Maybe some users who have the MM in a (swamp)ash guitar can comment on that.
