Suggestions for a Schecter SLS C7

Hi all,

this is my first post in this forum.
I'm getting a Schecter SLS C-7, baritone 7 string (maple set neck, with ebony fretboard and mahogany body).
I was thinking maybe to change the pickups. For my needs I need to cover a great range on genres going from ambient, to jazzy stuff and up to more doom-metallesque moods.
I was thinking about a pickup with a medium-high gain, good (or better lots of :P ) dynamics and a warm voicing (let's say more centered around the low-medium freqs, I never liked too bright pickups/sounds, but it has to has also a bit of presence).
By listening to the samples on the site I like a lot the Riff Raff and the Painkiller.
But, do you have any other suggestions?

The RiffRaff and Painkiller are actually quite bright (but not shrill). I would look at the Nailbomb and the Miracle Man and - more vintageflavoured - a Black Dog that will keep tight in a sevenstring.

Yeah, the PK is all about high-mids - has good lows, too, but almost no low-mids to the ear.

Wish I had more personal experience with different models, but Telerocker knows his stuff! :) I wonder if Black Hawks or Crawlers would work?

A maple neck / mahogany body axe is basically a high / lows sort of a guitar, right?  Just gotta get something in there that is almost all tight, clear midrange.  I'd be almost tempted to consider something like a Rebel Yell for the bridge.  Although it may be too bright!
I wonder which BKP is the most focused on centre / high mids with more rolled off highs?  A-Bomb?  Maybe try an A-Bomb.

Hi thanks for your replies! I also wrote to the BK team and they also pointed out the Painkiller and Riffraff are more on the bright side. Their suggestion was the Juggernaut.

Totally forgot about the Juggernaut. The A-Bomb is the alnico magnet-version of the Nailbomb. De C-Bomb has a ceramic magnet.

The Alnico V version of the Nailbomb bridge pickup.  Lots of mid-mids and low-mids.  I have one in my Explorer.  In my SG it was bananas, just mids overload, but in most guitars that aren't that middy it brings some nice balance and aggression.  The C-Bomb is more scooped

Juggernaut = more low mid focused.  It has a very gutteral sound and a very smooth and creamy sort of top end.  It has plenty of bite but the pickup is badass and very refined at the same time.  It can get plenty of aggression and pick attack but it 'purrs' at the same time.  It's like a bodybuilder in a tux.

Better in a brighter guitar with less low end

A-Bomb = Bad mannered in a gritty, ill tempered, and greasy sort of way.  It's a lively pickup with more mids and high mids, and a very hairy top end.  It is brighter with a lot of grit and pick attack which is really fun.  A punk rocker with tattoos, huge cylinder earrings, ripped jeans, converse shoes, studded jacket, wild hair, etc etc. 

Better in a darker guitar with big, but not overpowering lows and low mids.  I think Painkiller / Rebel Yell are for darker axes that have overpowering lows / low mids.

I was also thinking, what if I go for a more bright pickup instead of something warmish, since I already have a 7 string guitar, which has a really warm and creamy sound.

I must admit that I was looking also at the SD Black Winters, which also seam quiet interesting.
