I don't have one but I believe most of Misha's Jackson guitars are basswood with maple necks, certainly the first ones he got were, granted it'll be top quality basswood since they're custom shop guitars

I have played the juggernaut 7 string set through basswood body/maple neck ibanez. It sounded great. Every pick up is going to sound different in every guitar. Every pick up ordered from BKP will sound different as well-EVEN if it's the same model.
With my experience, I ordered The war pigs for the same guitar. The first time, I couldn't stand them. Very bland and not much top end..I gave them a second try after realizing, they may have been wounded like cr@p. The second pair I received are still in my guitar and are fantastic. Clear, big, tight, versatile and MEAN.

The juggernauts are sick pick ups though. I would definitely get them if I were you. The low mid response sounds and FEELS great. When you can feel that response under your fingertips, you have a quality pick up.

I've got the Jugg's in my Basswood RG8FM - it's got a lovely saturated distortion, which sounds really good on a recording. Often when recording guitars I do all sort's of stuff like compressors, tube plugins etc. but with this just an EQ to roll off unneeded lows and highs and it sits really nicely in the mix.

I will say the following - it's bass light going through my Kemper so I whacked up the bass to give it more punch, plus it doesn't grind at all from what I've heard so far so I can't say it's a pure metal pickup. Doesn't seem hugely aggressive to me - I reckon the basswood body is an issue from this perspective possibly. I will put up a recording shortly so keep an eye out for that.

This is why I stopped buying BKPS new!

I have had multiple Miracle Men and Aftermaths and they have all varied quite a lot even in the same guitar with the exact same height etc.

But when you get a good one they are really good. I really regret selling my first miracle man and aftermath as those were the two best sounding ones that I have come across.

Its a bittersweet thing isn't it? Some can sound good others can sound AMAZING. It goes to show its a legit company that really hand winds all of there pick ups. I'm on the fence with getting the miracle mans for my ibanez that I am completely re-storing. The aftermaths I had in a tuned down guitar to Drop C and Drop B. I loved them and have to get another set. They are the best pick ups for drop tuning. The clarity is unreal.
