LTD TM-600 Viper - anyone tried one?
« on: September 16, 2014, 12:30:18 PM »
There is a sale on right now and I am trying to make up my mind as to whether (1) I really need another guitar & (2) whether I should get one of these LTD TM-600 (Travis Miguel, Atreyu signature) Vipers.

It has a set thin U contour maple neck and a flat top (not beveled) white bound mahogany Viper body in a flat black, rosewood fingerboard, 24.75” scale, 24 XJ frets, 42mm locking nut, black nickel hardware (including 1000 series Floyd Rose trem), Grover tuners, and EMG 81/85 pickups with an 'Afterburner' boost switch.

It all seems like a great deal at under $1K Australian and I don't have anything with EMGs in it so that is kind of interesting.

I'm wondering though if anyone has had any experience with this model and has a viewpoint.

The LTD vipers in general are really really good.  I dont know what 1k aussie dollars are but it will be a quality guitar and as far as i know theyre quite rare......i know because ive looked into em before.

Thanks but I couldn't make up my mind on it and the ebay 15% off voucher has ended (at least here in Australia) now.

I just bought a Hipshot A-Style brass (chrome) high-mass bridge for my Squier VM Jazz bass instead.  Saved myself nearly $15.

Ah!  In all seriousness if i'd have seen that I might just have bought it my self!  Shame about the atreyu thing though!
