installed this pickup into my mahogany telecaster (maple cap , rosewood board) and i have to say its fitting the guitar very well. originally it housed a pearly gates seymour duncan that i wasnt fond of. this pickup is MEAN . its definitely a dark voice to it but overly dark at all. i also installed this with a push pull pot as well and i was pleasantly surprised at the tone i was getting. it wasnt very stratty single coil sounding. it was more like a low output p90 because it still had a bit of fatness to it but had that single coil flavor. i really like it a lot. its definitely made for metal but it can handle any sort of modern music like punk. i did a cover recently of an older green day song (dookie era) and the tone matched pretty well since he had a darker sort of tone. the clean tones are definitely useable. not as good as some other pickups but definitely better than other pickup brands i've used that are in the same ballpark like the SD invader. its definitely a tight pickup all around and it reminds me like the humbucker version of the stockholm p90 but maybe a tiny bit darker. i definitely like it a lot more than i thought i would. hoping to pair it with a p90 neck in the future, maybe a supermassive if they let me get one housed in a humbucker sized pickup which i know they've done before. anyway. thats about it! thanks for reading
