You can play a lot of styles with that gear. I just watched a vid of the JHS Sweet Tea V2, which has a sort of 808 and a Plexi distortion on board, plus some toggles (one arranges the order of the pedals: 808 -> Angry Charlie or vice versa). Sounds excellent and would save space on your board.

Is that a Pedaltrain 2?  If so I have the same board and power supply, except I've mounted the power supply underneath using Pedaltrain's 'Universal Bracket' (there are a couple of models, you just need the right model for your board).  Frees up a lot of space.



I moved one bracket over slightly, hence the extra drill holes.

I've had a few configurations, but this one probably illustrates best how much you can fit on by routing stuff under the board.  The power supply is visible under the top left corner.  Depends on where the jacks are.  And yeah, I know, heaps of MXR ...

i have much more pedals than that, but not on the board. this is board I use for my metal band, generally i would prefer to use less pedals.

the signal chain for the guitar signal is:

(guitar) -> Boss super octave -> Korg pitch black tuner -> Maxon 820 clone -> Le Grande Bleu delay -> SansAmp british -> mixer -> TC Electronics hall of fame -> (front of house)

bass signal is:

(guitar) -> Boss super octave -> Electro Harmonix freeze -> Boss hm2 heavy metal -> mixer -> TC Electronics hall of fame -> (front of house)

Oh, OK, sorry, it looked like my board does when it's in its bag.

Also, I'm interested in how you are running two different chains, one for guitar and the other for bass.  I'm looking to do something similar using a Boss LS-2 Line Selector that I've just ordered: one loop for clean guitar and distorted bass, the other for clean bass and distorted guitar.  It may sound weird but the facts are that the lead channel of my amp doesn't need much by way of distortion pedals, so I will place them in the other line, and when mixing some clean in with the dirty for my bass I will use on function on the pedal while when using it on guitar I will use the other function that keeps the line separate and switches between them.

e,g., setting front end up as follows:

guitar -> volume pedal -> tuner ->ISP -> NS2 -> wah -> LS2 then two separate lines -> LS2 -> NS2  ->  MXR M80 DI box -> amp.

A (dirty guitar / clean bass): LS2 -> overdrive -> phaser -> LS2
B (clean guitar / dirty bass): LS2 -> distortion -> compressor -> 6-band EQ -> LS2

Do you think this will work?  I would have to have the wah sitting on the floor, off the board (in order to fit the LS2 and Rottweiler on), but I should be able to run cables to it comfortably.

I have 2 pedal boards, a PedalTrain 1 and PedalTrain Nano, but I change the config so frequently that I've given up on the thought of a permanent board. Now it's more like a pedal buffet and I take what I need from it. :)
