I'm trying to find songs / videos etc that really showcase that kind of beautiful fluting sound that neck pups are capable of.
So far I'm listening a lot to different versions of Little Wing, which I guess owes a lot not just to that neck sound, but also perhaps to a certain type of amp (Fender cleans?).
Let's hear what everyone's fave "Neck Pup" moments are. I'm guessing there are a lot in Blues music in general.
I'm researching this a lot as I have a new guitar on the way and I'm having a Humbucker set with a coil-tapping option on the tone pot, and I want to get that perfect sounding neck pup. Pretty much decided on an Aftermath for my bridge as I have an Aftermath set already and very pleased with it (the neck pup gets a rather nice sound on a good clean channel) but the neck is still open to change and research.
