Bkp Juggernaut question

Hi all!
I have a set of Juggernauts in my Mayones Regius 6. I run my guitar to Axe FX II and i've noticed, that the juggernaut set clips (output clipping) really easily in Axe FX II. I have adjusted the pu height to about 2.3mm.

Are juggernauts just so damn hot or is something wrong in my setup?

somethings wrong with your setup i'd guess. its definitely not the pickup. they arent even THAT hot.

If you are clipping on the AXE FXII, lower the output volume in the clipping preset and compensate by increasing the volume with the front panel knob. The output in the Jugg is probably higher than your other pups.

What do you mean?  They aren't EMGs but they are definitely pretty powerful.  To get a clean sound / clean mode on my old 2 channel recto, I need to turn the gain almost off to keep it from clipping.  Not sure about the AXE FX unit though.  The Juggerset do exceptional clean tones so you should be able to achieve a result that is pleasing to your ear.

It depends a bit on how loud your guitar is - output comes from pickups AND guitar.
There can be vast differences there. Heavy strings and long gauge can make a big impact.
The Juggernaut is also very hot or at least good at driving a preamp. It is definitely EMG/Seymour Duncan Invader level. I've replaced a Miracle Man (definitely no slouch itself) with it and it pushes my amp more that the MM, mainly because of those super-crunchy mids.
In my setup it clips my wah pedal (Morley), but with gain you don't notice it.

Thanks to all for your input. I've lowered the input in my AFXII to 40% at the moment. I guess i'll have to lower it more then and see what happens.

My other guitar with Pegasus/sentient set is good to go with input to 60% in AFXII. Weird?

I had to lower my input on my Axe FX when I got Juggernauts as well. I was coming from a JB/'59 set. I think it's normal.

I don't think so.  Perhaps the clarity of BKP makes them sound less 'hot' than they actually are.  The Juggerbridge is really thick with all those magnets in it.
