help me match this tone!
« on: November 23, 2014, 07:28:44 PM »
i'm trying to get my friend into bare knuckle. he uses a strat. most likely alder. full maple neck/fretboard. here is the sort of tone hes looking for

the one stood out for him initially was the alnico nailbomb but i never really liked the nailbomb in a strat . although i do think it could work for this tone. i suggested the stockholm p90. its got a little more low end but works really well in strats. also i think the crawler could work if he alters is amp eq a bit.

thoughts? thanks guys

I would prefer the Stockholm over the Crawler for these sounds. That topend P90-sparkle could do the trick.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.
