i also just noticed that instead of special ordering, all of the p90s including the humbucker sized options are available in the regular p90 mounts and vice versa

That is bloody new. Damn. This might actually lead me to exchange my 7 string EM HD set.

This is just brilliant news! Now we can actually consider those for 7 strings, where they make a loooot of sense imho, and also recommend Stockholm / Supermassive better. Plus we can throw in the blue note into the vintage sound Les Paul discussions. Blimy!

A hint of early xmas and a screaming from my wallet. =)
BKPs in use: 10th set / RY set / Holy Diver b, Emerald n / Crawler bridge, Slowhand mid MQ neck/ Manhattan n
On the sidelines: Stockholm b / Suppermassive n, Mule n, AM set, IT mid

Now I am wondering if I would prefer a MQ or Pig-90 set in my 7 string. The EM HD is amazing, but it turns out to be one of those "does not seem to fit the guitar" situations so I need another 7 string there. I can play all my other axes through the same setting and they may not sound optimal, but they are great. That goes for all the ones in my signature, they seem to never be totally off. The 7 string however...I need to either add or take away gain, deffo add brightness and more upfront boost, etc. It just takes too much to get there.
I really want to try the Pig-90 and maybe that would do the best job of masking that while it is great for the price it is still a rather cheap guitar.

Got any thoughts? I think P90 could be really good for the low end definition alone, so I am somewhat set on that path.

Kiichi that's because of people like you and I ordering these options on the Supermassive and Stockholm, I guess in the end it just made sense to make the choice of regular or HB style an option on those and then to extend it across the board.

Now for the C-Pig'90 to be a regular option!  A C-Pig'90 in the regular style with a plastic cover would be mental.

Yes !!! 7 string P-90's!!!
I built one years ago and Tim wound and potted it for me - it sounds awesome but looks a bit scruffy, so I'm really happy that we can now get them as standard. I now need to build a new guitar for a supermassive bridge, Mississippi queen neck!!!
Bridge: (A)Pig, HD, Jugg, PK, (A)NB, Crawler, Aftermath, RY, Abraxas, Emerald, BD, VHII, RR, Cobra, Sinner, Trilogy, Stockholm, Supermassive.
Neck: IT, SM, CS, Trilogy, Emerald, Cobra, Blue note.

Where are you getting this information regarding 7-string P-90s?  I don't see the option anywhere on the BKP site

I just see all the P-90s in regular and humbucker-size 6-string options.

EDIT: OK, I found it.  click me

This is great news . I'll definitely get a Mississippi Queen HSP-90 7 neck for my incoming 7-String to accompany my Juggernaut 7 bridge.

Please let us know how that turns out. I can see potential there. A lot of it. In theory.
