Strat pickup height

Following on from the other posts on this topic - what is the best 'ballpark' height for BKP strat pups?  In particular Mother's Milk - I am using Fender's recommendation for Texas Specials - is that a good guide?
BKPS: Milks, P90s, Apaches, Mississippi Queens, Mules, PG Blues, BG FP 50s, e.60s strat custom set

It's a good starting point. Every pickup has it's own sweet spot so experiment a little.

I normally crank it up as high as possible and then slowly lower it until I hear the sweet spot.............also watch that the manets aren't interfering with the strings.
