Egnater Renegade FX Loop
« on: December 15, 2014, 10:51:39 AM »
I've just noticed an odd issue.

When I engage the FX loop on my Renegade on the red channel, there's a noticeable drop in tone (the high end rolls off a lot).  This happens regardless of whether any of the pedals in the loop (which are all true bypass) are switched on or not.  This isn't noticeable on the green channel.

If I unplug the loop from the back of the amp, there's no tone loss on the red channel.

Anyone know what might be causing this?  It's only just happened.

Ah.  Bugger - nevermind, found it.  Apparently my Boss CE-5 isn't true bypass...

Flat battery?

Should be running 12V DC (ACA adapter)?
