Just thought I'd share a demo I did of the BKP VHII and the MCP Hot Head bridge models.
Demo'd with some riffs from a new song I'm currently working on.
1 Guitar Track Left & 1 Guitar Track Right.
Drums are Toontrack EZDrummer 2.
No bass.

Next time...

Hard to hear a difference to my ears from my laptop, maybe more compression with the Motorhead pup.
Youtube compression might nullify the sound difference.....can you upload them on Souncloud also?

What are these Motorhead pups? Price, popular etc.?

Nice one - I really like MCP stuff from what I've heard. Looking forward to the detroiter - had my eye one that one but can't find a decent demo. Any plans to do the 2nd degree Black Belt?
Nothing sounds like a Skyline GTR ...... but BKP comes close!

Ditto on all of this. I sent both an email and facebook message to these guys asking about pickups and received no reply. They could use some serious work on their customer relations it seems....

My ears hear more compression, saturation and a more filled out EQ spectrum in the HotHead.
The HotHead also has more present mids.
The VHII is drier and has a more percussive attack.
Both really cool pickups.

For me here in Australia, the Motor City Pickups cost around the same as a Bare Knuckle Pickup.

Yeah the Detroiter was my first MCP. After I heard that pickup I had to order another MCP.
Really dig Wade's stuff. My MCP's all have a bit of a different vibe to my BKP's.

And no sorry mate, don't have a 2nd Degree BlackBelt.
Wouldn't mind trying one out myself.

I have to agree with you here.
The MCP website is in urgent need of an overhaul, and Wade can sometimes take a while to reply.
Both these issues are why I've always shied away from trying MCP's.
Glad I finally took the plunge though. Wade's pickups are really cool and have a different character to BKP's.
Still love my BKP's. All are awesome in their own unique way.

Cheers mate.   :)
I'm really interested to see how the Black Dog bridge turns out.
It's one of my favorite sounding pickups in the room.
