PU to string hieghts?

Hi I was just wondering how far people tend to have their PU's screwed down awa from the strings.  In my case I have a Miracleman in the bridge and was wondering how far other people had theirs, mine is around 1.5mm-2mm if I can remember (Im in Australia at the mo and haven't been able to touch any of m guitars for around 4 months(he says hudled in a  corner rocking back and forth ))

I seem to remember reading another article somewhere that said single coil pickups had to be "x " amount minimum distance away from the strings, (for fairly obvious reasons) but humbuckers could be within a mm or less, personally mine are about 3-4mm off,   :)

Cheers mate!  However I know the general idea, I was just looking for peoples own opinion and maybe why they like it like that. For example I seem to remember Drac saying he liked low power PU's close to the strings and high power PU's far away. but Im not sure.

I got my warpig @ 1.3mm bass side and treble side 1.0mm.

3mm, with treble side higher slightly, but there is no set rule, and I would never recommend anyone "going" on what anyone else says, it's simple, get screwdriver - adjust - play&listen - adjust - play&listen - ;)

I set it to where it sounds the best. Too high and you will get string pull; too far and it might sound too weak. I don't go with a pre-conceived height for my pickups, just play with em until they sound their best to me. That being said, I like em a fair bit away from the stings due to my picking style and the really weird way I do pinch harmonics.
