335 Stop Bar height adjustment?

Hi all,

I've been finding the wound strings on my 335 to be a little dull and slow to respond,I've noticed that the stop bar is cranked to the body and the strings are touching the tune o magic bridge.....

Does anyone think this is an issue which will affect tone?

It will more likely affect tuning stability in an adverse manner. Raise the stop tail until the strings clear the edge of the tune-o-matic.
