Pickups recomentation for my EBMM JP7

Hi to all!By some luck I bought used JP7 for half price.Looks and feels like new.
The only problem I feel I like I do not like pickups too much.There are certain aspects I like,but some really annoys me.Here are picture of this Carbon blue beauty.

I`m not even lover of basswood body guitars but playability and feel of tremolo is reason why I fell in love on JP7.

Is it possible for BK to make direct mount pickups version or I have to drill a guitar for new pickups?
Please feel free to suggest me a pickups that will work good with basswood body,rosewood fingerboard and maple neck.Simple classic combination of wood.
Note,guitar really possess more low and that any Ibanez guitar i played,simply more full tone,but on the other hand not too much different.


I`m into German power/heavy metal,but I like new HD tones of modern pickups so to speak.Attack,articulation,organic harmonic tone is what I prefer.And tightness to be normal,not too not flubby either....I`m hungry for low end and agressive mid highs,but not to the point of fuzziness or unpleasant.In fact reason why I want to change stock pickups is they with a lots of gain become very fizzy,almost like fuzz effect.I hate it.

For solo I`m into John Sykes,Malmsteen,Andre Olbrich and Dave Murray...I know that are very different tones by itself,but feel free to suggest anything that to you sound similar like these artists...On basswood I find it is very hard to get full but(not muddy)tone without overwhelming of mids(which basswood body possess it a lot) and with clear,present,opened high end without being harsh or fizzy.

And for end,I would replace -3way toggle switch with freeway 6 way for split coil options.

Thanks for answer,yea Juggernaut sound massive,but I do not know if they got enough high mids.But for neck I`m not fond of Mishas tone.
For bridge I think I can settle with that tone.

The only thing I do not know is what "Tri tabbed"means?I looked for ordering options and can`t find anything similar to that.

I would say Cold Sweat or a Miracle Man. Enough highmids, modern tones, big bass. The Cold Sweat is closest to the John Sykes-tone.

You are right,maybe Miracle Man for bridge,and Cold Sweat for Neck would take me to German modern power metal territory.;) I forgot to add I am tuned to A,so one whole step from standard.

Tri tabbed is something youŽd add in the comment box. You could just put "for direct mounting" there and BKP would know what to do an happily oblidge.

On the discussion of the model: Seeing as it is a 7 string one step down...if this is not a tonaly bright guitar, but rather balanced or dark-ish I am inclined to throw the Rebel Yell into the ring. The bridge has both the 80s hairmetal sound which translates well to earlier Blind Guardian and Edguy. Certainly a lot of Avantasia sounds can be achieved with a fitting amp. It has that old school feel but modern qualities too. Loads of high mids and harmonic overtones in the highend with a punchy bottom allowing it to be tight in the tuning you have. Classic examples of the sound it makes are Ratt, but it can do a lot more, guided by guitar, player and amp.

When I hear power metal this is what I think first. Then Coldsweat and then depending on the guitar maybe HD. Here RY or if you want more bottom the CS.

Thanks for clarification.My guitar sound is pretty neutral.Nor bright nor dark.
The only thing I wanted to add is that basswood sound very soft,and for bridge I certainly need more aggressive tone to make it more massive and roar a little bit.
But for solos I`m more into something fluid and organic,again with plenty attack but creamy also when I play with volume pot...

I`m into more modern power metal.Please listen the clips I posted.
Blind Guardian using EMG`s with ENGL amp,much more aggressive tone than glam if I`m not deaf. 
Grave Digger guitarist always used EMG`s but do not know what amp.

I like high end to be open and rich harmonically as you described,but not to the point it becomes  fizzy harsh.I hate that. ;)

I know suggesting to myself,from your suggestions above maybe Miracle Man or Painkiller for bridge and Coldsweat or Rebell Yell for neck?
