Are the Rebel Yell and Cold Sweat necks, indeed, similar?

I was speaking to Ben today and asked is the Rebel Yell neck was close to the VHII (which is what I heard), and he said no. It shares most of it's similarities with the Cold Sweat neck. Only the Cold Sweat neck is a bit thicker, and the RY a bit brighter. I only ask this as I was thinking of matching the Cold Sweat with the Black Hawk. But I have a Rebel Yell neck. So really interested in the differences.

If you have a RY neck try that in the guitar.  At least it will give you an idea.  I've always thought they were pretty close

I have both and they are pretty close. Ben's description is what I am hearing, too.

I love the articulation of the Rebel Yell. But I've only heard the RY in the thinner ESP Eclipse. This is the Full Thickness Eclipse. I'm looking for something just as articulate and fluid...but a bit thicker for that metal feel. Is the Cold Sweat exactly that?

you'll have it in a thicker sounding guitar

if you want something even thicker, than you'll want the vhII, but it has a different midrange texture
the vhII sounds more like a really fat paf

Well funnily enough, I don't find the thicker Eclipse darker than the thinner one. The only thing I noticed was the thicker sounded a bit more resonant and spanky
