Piledriver/Supermassive
« on: March 20, 2015, 09:39:44 PM »
I just put a Piledriver bridge and Supermassive neck pup into my Haar Tele.  They replace the Flat 50's, which were very good, but I wanted more fat, less twang.

And the Piledriver delivers.  Still that tele growl, but with much less twang and more body.  Perfect rock tone.  I can't stop playing.
I still use the 250k pots, and they're perfect for the Piledriver.  Fat for overdrive, and still plenty clear for cleans.

For the Supermassive however, it's too dark.  Is there a way I could make the Supermassive believe there are 500k pots in there?

thanks

Jan

Yep, switch to a 500K volume pot and hang a 250K resistor off the Piledriver's switch lug to ground.  I have my Tele wired as such.  Has an Abraxas Bridge HB and an Apache Neck SC.
