After happening upon an older review of the Juggs, my current build came into mind. I have a Strat/Tele that can both pull off beautiful vintage - somewhat modern tones, but this new guitar is a blank slate.

As you can see it's HXS, so I've got to choose wisely ha! It is being made of Mahogany and is just about as large as a 7/8 Tele and will have a similar switching schema, including a coil tapped bridge. Are there any HXS pickup combos in the Contemporary side of the house that can pull off sparkling cleans and chewy/rich lead tones? Splitting nicely would be amazing, but it seems as though there aren't any that can split quite as well as the VHII, Abraxas, or Crawler from my recollection.
As it stands now, I'm still in the Crawler/IT* camp on this build, but having something that could venture into the heavy rhythm category for the studio wouldn't hurt, though I could get a Vintage Hot selection close with some production shenanigans.
