Hi guys.
A bit of history before I get to pics:
I've owned a 1997 PRS Custom 22 for several years now and for some reason I never really bonded with it.
When I picked it up cheap, cheap for a USA PRS atleast, it had a ding in the top, awful nasty locking tuners as the originals had broken and all the electrics on it were shot too. So I gutted it all and started again, along with replacing the pickups with a pair of Abraxas and I also changed the machineheads for a nicer set of locking Grovers. It always played very well but it never really 'grabbed' me, so it sat in it's case being unplayed for most of it's time with me.
I came across a pair of random mis-matched pickups (a Cold Sweat neck and a Bulldog Black Label bridge)and tried those in the PRS and it instantly improved the sound for me, there was always that thing of my never really gelling with it though.
I tried selling it and offered it for trade many times, every time it was shot down and refused as the pickups and machine heads were wrong. I even offered to re-replace the pickups and machine heads to the correct PRS stuff only to be told no because of extra screw holes on the back of the headstock. So I'd pretty much decided I was stuck with it as there was no way I was accepting an Indonnesian LTD in trade for it, which I had been offered atleast once. A mate of mine bought a 10 top CU22 for £900 so things were looking bleak for the value of mine until I saw a thread offering up the below for trade as the last owner was scared to play it for fear of dinging it and wanted something he could play without worrying about it.
I contacted him, offered the PRS and explained it's changes. He was interested so a deal was done:

From what I can tell it's a late 90s/Early 2000s USA Peavey Wolfgang Standard Deluxe Archtop. I have 2 USA Wolfie Specials as well so I knew I'd get on with the neck profile etc before we agreed to trade.
Value wise these are very hit and miss, as was my PRS in all honesty, so some may see this as quite a trade down for me but all I'm concerned with is that I now have a guitar I'll actually play instead of 1 that just sits in it's case all the time
