NGD. Stormshadow VH150
« on: June 30, 2015, 05:21:52 PM »
Hi guys. I got an Ibanez earlier in the year that I loved how it played and sounded but no matter how much I played the guitar it just never clicked.

So I put it on facebook for sale or trade and in the here on the forums. A chap got in touch with me offering a trade for the stormshadow. He was in a similar situation with it just not clicking with him and he had been trying to trade it away for some time so decided to take a hit as he wanted something a little different.

I had to deshim the neck and ill possibly be doing the same to the locking nut to get it how I like it once I restring. The action was unbearably low for a heavy handed player (a 1mm pick would stay trapped under the strings at the 12th)

Overall i'm enjoying the guitar but it's made me realise for the 100th time that PAF type pickups aren't really for me but the neck Irongear Jailhouse is pretty sweet.

I'm not the biggest fan of the logo design but what can you do?

I think it's the attack and lower mids. I can't quite put my finger on why but they just don't cut it for me.

Its not a bad pickup by any means it's just so alien to me.

Also as I said I will build you a yeti. You can pay monthly
