Roughly how much the uncovered Miracle Man set (£170) in US dollars, and what is with this subtracting 17% tax thing for out-of-UK shipping?

Currency Converter

The tax is VAT, and it doesn't apply to people outside of the European Union, as far as I know. It's like a GST, which Canada and Australia have. If you live in a country that doesn't have these taxes, you don't have to pay them.

And it's actually 14.9%- there was a thread a while ago where we got into why it was 14.9 and not 17.5, but i'm not going into all that again, lol.

Go to the online shop, it'll deduct the VAT for you once you've entered an non EU address.

Am I reading this right? £144.68 = 252.11 US dollars? £ is British Pounds? I thought all of Europe went to the Euro. Anyways, 250 smackers for a set of pickups is steep... is it worth it?

The UK has escaped Euro land for a while at least.

Firstly what price you will be paying for mass produced pickups from most other makers, plus if the pickup isn't what you want then you are stuck with it

If you buy direct from Bareknuckle the pickups can be modified to the spec most suitable for your needs.

Properly matched sets (even across diffrent models of pickup)

If you are not completely happy with them the guys here have a warrenty that is second to none (check out the terms)

Check the reviews from people who have actually paid for them (the magazine reviews also count though) it's smiles all the way.

You could also check out the prices of the US dealers, they might have slightly lower prices than the on-line shop does for orders shipped overseas.

BTW, you US guys are spoiled by extra low prices. I don't say I'd be happy to pay $250 for a pickup. I paid ~ $190 for my raw nickel Nailbomb and ~ $410 for my camo Mule set, so $250 does look like a high price (not taking salary differences into consideration, though...). On the other hand, when we're talking about a guitar played for nearly a lifetime and a sound that inspires you every day, I think Bare Knuckle pickups are a great investment from an emotional point of view.

No, they should be free. I think guitars should be free, too, but my local shops don't agree with me. :(

i-b-c take the jump, you won't regret it. Besides 250$, is nothing compare to the several 250$ that are going to pile up in your near future, after more BKPs. :)

Remember, if you don't like it, you can exchange it for another pickup or get your money back for a limited period of time (I think it's 2 weeks but I'm not sure). If I were you, I'd ask Tim about those possibilities.

Yea, I've decided to go with the MM set, when I get the money. I still have to buy a cab for my Randall head though, and that's gonna be about 500 US. But there will be a time in the future where I will be running MM's through that Randall.

I added a Calibrated Set of covered NBs to the shopping cart, entered my address and the price changed when I checked the basket again. The pricing WAS LISTED IN BRITISH POUNDS still, but I live in the US. Was the price listed in pounds actually in dollars, if you get me?
