Pickup Selection for new guitar
« on: July 17, 2015, 07:00:04 PM »
Hey guys! Just joined the forum, wanna ask what some of the BKP veterans think of my choice of pickup. Unfortunately I had to move on the pickups and buy them because the Euro is so weak right now that the price was awesome for it.

Ended up ordering an 070 from Aristides, for anyone who doesn't know about them their guitars are made of Arium and now they have the option to feature no wood at all in the guitar which I'm keen to try. They offered Maple/Rosewood/Ebony boards, but now they're offering Richlite and it'll be cool to see how they sound in practice.

Anyways, I went with my gut instinct and ordered a pair of BKPs. Neck I'm extremely familiar with and love, went with the VHII and then I went with the Holy Diver with the recommendation of the owner of the business, Pascal. It should sound awesome :)
Sets (B/N): Black Dog/VHII, Coldsweat/VHII, Blackhawks Calib. Set x2, Juggernauts Calib. Set x2, Nailbombs Calib. Set x2, Holy Diver/VHII

I have no idea how those guitars sound compared to classic wood guitars, but I am very exited to hear your report, both about the guitars sound itself and how the pickups fit it. I think your choice should work, but as I said that is pure speculation.
BKPs in use: 10th set / RY set / Holy Diver b, Emerald n / Crawler bridge, Slowhand mid MQ neck/ Manhattan n
On the sidelines: Stockholm b / Suppermassive n, Mule n, AM set, IT mid
