Hi All,
I'm finally wanting to replace the meh " duncun designed" pups in my much loved Schecter C-1 Elite and looking for bareknuckle suggestions. The oft heard recommendations is a proper set of Duncans - JB and Jazz, but I've heard these in the same guitar and wasn't wowed.  I don't need anything to hot, as I predominately play blues and rock, with an occasional spell of progressive jazz. Thoughts and suggestions would be deeply appreciated. Thank you

Tim

Depending on the natural tone of the C-1 I'd recommend Crawler humbuckers if it's a bright guitar or VHII humbuckers if it's darker voiced.

Crawler humbuckers really are extremely versatile covering blues and rock applications easily whilst offering up some lovely full clean tones for jazz.

VHII humbuckers produce the same versatile palette of tone along with some great coil splits and classic blues rock character.

I'd agree that the Crawler would be ideal if the guitar is naturally brighter, or at least not dark. If it's a darker guitar, I'd have been inclined to go Rebel Yell but I'm sure Tim knows his stuff.
BKP owned:

Bridge - Emerald; Cold Sweat; Crawler; A-Bomb; Holydiver; Miracle Man; Sinner; Trilogy Suite

Neck - Emerald; Cold Sweat; Crawler; Holydiver; Sinner; Trilogy Suite

The Mule would sit nicely for blues and rock. I THINK your guitar is mahogany with a set neck, so that is why i think the Mule would work. Also the Abraxas if you want more beef and hotness
BKP: Abraxas - Les Paul
Holy Diver - Charvel
Mule - Les Paul
Rebel Yell - Les Paul
VHII - PRS CU22
Emerald - Les Paul
Warpig - Caparison Horus
