What's causing this crackle?

This started today and as you can imagine it's driving me nuts.
Every guitar and both my amps (one of which came back from blackstar today)

Are you using the same guitar cable with all your guitars and amps?

I found it! It's the effing plectrum! Must have a metal in it or be charged in some way.
I had to go back to dunlops :/ the brand was pick boy carbon fibre plectrums, which I was really enjoying.

LOL, I haven't heard of that happening before, but that's interesting to know. I figured it must be something outside of your guitars or amps if it was happening with all of them.
