Hey guys. Been away for a while.
I've got a cheap strat laying around without pickguard or electronics. I had a really nice Gilmour setup on it (as far as pickup choices and looks go) but had to sell it earlier this year because of what were basicaly two divorces in two months.

The guitar itself has a gfs steel trem block and swimming pool route, and I want to put one pickup on it, bridge position, Delonge style with a pickguard and lone volume pot, so I can use the guitar. I've got two unused BKPs at the moment. Ideally I would install the bridge Abraxas, but it has long legs and the required routing would probably hollow the poor guitar all the way to the springs' cavity.
I've got also a neck Mississippi Queen that a tech butched into short legs, so it should fit phisicaly, but what can I expect in sound? Probably softer yet brighter than we are used to hear from bridge MQs, but bear in mind that this guitar will be tuned in drop C with 10-52s. I'm mainly a rythm player, atracted to heavier music styles but nothing too technical ou lightning fast.
Cheers
