The Crawler performs really good in alder/ash-bolt on guitars. The split is happening, quite tele-esque. The sound in the vids is not quite Crawler-esque. In any case the Crawler beefs up alder/ash strats and delivers a full, midbased spectrum with great thick leadtones. If you're afraid the Crawler might be too warm, look at the Abraxas: less output, a bit more chime and good mids yet not as dominant as in the Crawler. Both have PAF-pedigree, so they sound more vintage than modern, but they're capable of producing (some) metalstyles too.
