Hi

I need a recommendation for a pickup for my new ESP Telecaster. It has ash body, maple neck and rosewood fretboard.  I need a replacement for a bridge single-coil pickup. The problem with it is that is has very bad (not musical at all) feedback and with the full tone the highs are very messy and unpleasant. If I turn the tone knob down it seems ok but with full up the definition of chords is unclear.

Any help from someone who had experience with ashbodied Teles with rosewood fretboards would be would be appreciated.

The pickups are to be suited mostly for rock with overdrive channel mostly.

regards
uchal

For rock you canīt go wrong with the Irish Tour really. Classic SC with a little extra output, mids, and slightly less high end. Plus some magic sparkle when played with dirt. Still lovely classic woodyness when the volume is turned down.
BKPs in use: 10th set / RY set / Holy Diver b, Emerald n / Crawler bridge, Slowhand mid MQ neck/ Manhattan n
On the sidelines: Stockholm b / Suppermassive n, Mule n, AM set, IT mid

First, the toneknob is a powerful tool on a tele. I use it all the time.

Ash is punchy, a rosewood fretboard is little warmer than maple. I suggest a BG50-bridge. It has classic teletones, yet more output, mids and thickness. Suits any overdrive-application very well.

I've thought about buying this one in first place. Good to get an opinion from BG50 user. Thanks!!!

To make things complicated: I have the old BKP BG50-set, which is more or less the BG52-set now. In your case I would go for the current BG50.

New Tele Cobra sounds interesting, I`m just after realizing that they have launched Tele version of Cobras as well.
Dean Cadillac - Emerald (b), Cold Sweat (n),
Mayones Flame CS2000 - Miracle Man (b), Sinner (m), Aftermath (n)

It was comparativly quiet, wasnīt it.

I mean they have been out for a while now and I still have heard pretty much nothing about them. Even still hoping for strat cobra reviews for the sticky here.
