Nailbomb - I think it's best for hard rock, but it's really versatile, I've heard here Nailbomb clips ranging from blues to death metal. I have mine quite close to the strings, and I use it primarily for hard rock and (kind of) progressive metal. It cleans up really well when I turn down the volume, though. If I adjusted it a little bit lower, it'd be probably great for less gainier styles as well.

The Nailbomb is just a damn versatile pickup, thats all theres to it.

Another thing is that most of the big metal guitarplayers uses the JB model or similar. Their pickups resistance does not really exeed a DC rating of 16, so there is really no need to buy an even mor powerful pup.

I would recommend anyone to buy the Nailbomb if theyre into metal and/or hard rock. The pickup can handle pretty much anything that is played through an overdriven amp. And when you then have tried it, you get a better perspective to where all the other BKP`s lies.
