MXR EVH 5150 Pedal
« on: November 29, 2015, 12:21:19 AM »
So a few weeks ago I tried out one of the best pedals I've ever played: the MXR EVH 5150 Overdrive. Damn did it sound good. Sounded, responded and broke up like a 5150. Honestly for anyone who needs a rig to bring to band practice, get a loud enough basic amp to keep at your practice space and just bring this pedal. I tried it using a Fender Standard Ash Telecaster and a Gibson Les Paul Custom and both sounded great through the Orange Crush PiX I used (all EQ set to noon, at the clean channel). For anyone looking for anything that does High Gain, this pedal is a great alternative to buying a High Gain tube amp.

Yeah, I watch some vids, does the EVH-thing quite nice. It's a bit expensive  and the boost is not footswitchable, which is a flaw imo.
