They're egomaniacs - they need someone to tell them that they're material is good. They try and make it out as they're not by saying "any comment is necessary, good or bad or indifferent", but really they just want more good comments to further inflate their ego's.
Forcing someone to listen to your clips is quite retarded. Not everybody wants to listen to clips - I find myself browsing through the Players section here a lot of the time just to hear pickups I'm interested in getting, or if there's a track someones done that I like. That doesn't mean I don't think the rest of the clips are good, as they always are good, but I don't feel pressured here into posting comments just to make someone feel better (like I imagine I would at that Zoom forum).
I paste clips in the Players section for either showing people how good the VHII pickups are, or just sharing a track I had fun making and thought others might be interested in hearing something like that. If people don't listen to it or comment on it I don't care and no way in hell would I try and force people to.
