A little love for the BKP 90
« on: December 21, 2015, 05:11:15 PM »
Well I was lucky enough to pull the trigger on a beautiful Fender MIJ Mustang just a few days ago it's a 2005 model in sonic blue, other than my general love of mustangs something drew me in...

The previous owner had decided to fit a soapbar p90 in the bridge position and claimed  that it was a Bareknuckle p90, having had a les paul previously with a Nailbomb/Mississippi queen set of pickups I knew this could only mean good things.

Boy was I surprised the actual pickup is a BKP 90 one of the now (as far as I know) discontinued p90 models and it really rocks hard, gives me some amazing tones a la RATM, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro and Muse but also cleans up nicely for more clean and gritty work and sits happily in the mix playing classic rock like led zep, stones etc.

anyone else have good results with this pickup in the past?

Music is like my religion, it's the one thing in life that no matter what else is going on never fails to get me through it.
