For gold hardware I'd go with gold or 'aged' gold. BK's most recent distressed covers are greenish-brownish-greyish. Unless those colours match the body (black for instance), I wouldn't choose distressed. I think guitars don't need more than three or four different colours, but that's just my personal taste.

If you like the distressed look, you could distress the hardware to match the pickup. Just ask Tim or Mr Pig how to do it.

The distressed covers can create a nice contrast, even if you're hardware is all one colour.

I did this with the Miracle Man in my Kamikaze 4 ...

I think that it really looks cool with the chrome hardware.
Granted, you really can't go overboard when your guitar is day glo green. PDT_008

I'm not a big fan of gold hardware (too bling), but it seems a shame to alter it. I'd go for the gold covers as it will be a wolf in sheeps clothing.

HA!
That's what I say ... you'd better be able to throw down if you play a guitar like that, or people will laugh you off the stage!

I had gold covers on my Mules to start with but then I got em changed for black ones and had gold polepieces. In my opinion it looks much better, I actually think the ones with gold covers look pretty cheap since installing the black ones into my guitar, it just looks more classy and not over the top.

My brother's having an English language exam this weekend. So you're saying that when the examiner says 'your pronounciation is bad', he should ask back 'Do you mean 'bad' in a US way?'
