This arrived on Tuesday and it's taken me a little while to sort out my effects board since then but I have given it a quick blast yesterday and it all works.
All I can say is WOW ... I bought this reverb on the basis of recommendations on discussion boards regarding reverbs for doom metal that can handle lots of gain and this pedal does not disappoint!! A lot of digital pedals - including most reverb pedals - struggle in a high-gain environment so I always make that my first consideration ... this pedal thrives on gain and sustain. When I first fitted it the three knobs all just happened to be around 2 o'clock when I kicked it in and all I could say was HOLY F*CK THIS IS FUNERAL DOOM INCARNATE .... the pedal gave my rig the sound of the heaviest funeral doom bands like Catacombs and Wormphlegm straight off the bat. Massive, cavernous reverb on that setting. I then tried playing with the knobs and I got a slapback echo effect somehow ... I've not had a chance to experiment with it at length but the pedal is a monster for funeral doom and death/doom, and I am pretty sure I can get epic doom (e.g., Solitude Aeturnus) sounds out of it as well. I haven't found any setting I'd call 'subtle' yet but I have a Peavey Classic 30 with a spring reverb when I want to be subtle. 6534+ amps don't do 'subtle' very well anyway.
It works well with all of my pedals, which are generally analogue. Here's a photo of my board as it currently stands, with everything powered by a T-Rex Fuel Tank Chameleon under the left rear. The volume pedal is first in the effects loop, with the reverb last. This gives great volume swells.
