Ohhhh nice. Tim said new stuff was coming, but this is actually a fair bit of info already. Due to the position in the list I recon it is save to assume that this one will be one more for the Vintage Hot category! Which I am hyped about as it is my favorite realm. Wonder what magnet and such we will get...anyone willing to hazard a guess?

According to the Facebook post it's for Josh of Northlane. It has blades like a Blackhawk.

Yeah the Facebook speculation was that its a lower power alnico Blackhawk, but that's pure speculation as far as I know. I hope it is because that would suit me down to the ground!!lol We'll see....

This tune is certainly pretty heavily downtuned in some sections - I think they are on the edge of downtuning at times

Mhhh bladed and Northlane signature has curbed my enthusiasm a bit personally. Could be great for many peeps to have a mid powered modern voiced pickup, but it´s nothing I am currently interested in myself. Though I would probably be much more likely to get one of those over the Blackhawk. For a full on metal guitar I´d probably still go MM though for my styles.

Now I am more interested as to what the custom thing means. How far is that going to extend?

Curious about this too. BKP have become too "closed" to the menu, and even simple mods (diferent magnets, over/underwinds, custom screws/bolts) have become dificult and even dependent on who you talk to.

This has caused some people (myself included) to reach for smaller companies to get anything remotely custom.

Not sure how much I'm allowed to talk about these yet. But I'd love to tell you more.
It's less hot than the blackhawk and has more of a blues-rock voicing than one I'd consider to be strictly mordern. No offensive mid range humps like a lot of the guys playing similar music to me go for. More importantly it's voiced to work well in baritone guitars and cover just about all the ground most baritone guys require.

I would love to see it compared to a Black Dog in the future, since that one also does good in baritones.
