Very much looking forward to getting my 63 veneers this week......first bn pickups after months of internet searching and listening......my experience has been that i usually do well when i trust the people who made them to suggeat the right pickup so thats what i did this time......

Hope they are beyond expectations. Fiddle with the height to find the sweet spots. Scatterwound pickups are sensitive for that.

I currenrly have chubtone 69's which aren't made any more......they are very sensitive as well ....completely different tones avaulable with different heights.......do you have any string suggestions?
Many people have been pointing me towards rotosound nickle strings which i have never used.. ..

Many people have been pointing me towards rotosound nickle strings which i have never used.. ..

The minimum I use on strats is 0.10. I play Ernie Balls Regular Slinky's. They're not as stiff as some other brands and they last quite long. Strats do even sound better with a 0.11 gauge. I tried that too, yet I'm soloing a lot and I found them a little hard play for what I do. I went back to 0.10's for a little smoother bending.
